🎬 Africa Film Fest Australia

Africa Film Fest Australia is bringing a lineup of African cinema to Sydney from 3–6 September. The festival features Australian premieres, documentaries and short films showcasing stories and perspectives from across Africa.

The festival kicks off with an opening-night reception at the Sydney Opera House, before continuing with screenings across the weekend, including at Event Cinemas Parramatta.

🖼️ Sydney Contemporary

Sydney Contemporary is back at Carriageworks for its 10th edition, bringing together more than 100 galleries and 500 artists from around the world. Expect large-scale installations, contemporary artworks, artist talks, performances and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

The fair runs from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 September, with special evening sessions including Art Night on Thursday and Friday Night on Friday.

🏎️ World Time Attack Challenge

Get ready for one of Sydney’s biggest motorsport weekends. The World Time Attack Challenge takes over Sydney Motorsport Park with some of the world’s fastest time-attack cars, drifting, demonstrations, Show ’n’ Shine and more.

The main public event runs Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September, with plenty happening throughout the day and into the evening.

Whether you’re a full-blown car enthusiast or just there for the insane builds and tyre-smoking action, WTAC is definitely one for the weekend itinerary.

🏉 Rabbitohs vs Roosters

Friday night plans? Sorted. The South Sydney Rabbitohs take on the Sydney Roosters in an NRL Round 27 clash at Allianz Stadium.

Gates open at 6pm, with kick-off at 8pm, making it an easy option for a Friday night out with the group.

🪩 Y2K Party ft. Kaizo

If your ideal Friday night involves low-rise jeans, throwback hits and a dance floor, the Y2K Party ft. Kaizo is calling.

Taking over Daddy Issues in Sydney from 10:30pm, the night is all about bringing the early-2000s aesthetic back for a late-night party.
