Keep Walking: What’s Just Outside Haymarket

Haymarket puts you within walking distance of even more places to study, relax and hang out. Once you’ve explored Chinatown and grabbed something to eat, keep walking towards Darling Square and Darling Harbour.

📚 Darling Square Library

Best for: Study sessions & assignment catch-ups

Located inside the distinctive Exchange building, Darling Square Library is an ideal spot when you actually need to get some uni work done. There’s free Wi-Fi, study desks, computers and bookable meeting rooms, making it great for solo study or group assignments.

🌳 Tumbalong Park

Best for: Taking a break & soaking up the sun

If studying isn’t on the agenda, continue towards Darling Harbour and stop at Tumbalong Park. The large green space is perfect for sitting outside with friends, having lunch or taking a break from the city. There are also cafés and restaurants around the park, plus outdoor table tennis and plenty of space to unwind.

Tip: Keep an eye out for seasonal events that often take place here.
