Spring has officially entered the chat. 🌼 Head to the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan and wander through more than 2,000 square metres of blooming paper daisies, with plenty happening around the gardens throughout the festival.

This weekend, you can catch live music on Lakeside Lawn from 12–3pm, browse the florist pop-up, play lawn games and let the little ones loose with face painting and kids’ activities. There’s also the new Muru Nangamai / Pathway to Dreaming Walk opening on 11 September, giving you another reason to make the trip out west.

And if you’re feeling creative, you can even paint among the daisies with Pinot & Picasso. Basically, it’s the perfect excuse for a spring day out. 🌸

For anyone who likes their movies a little less predictable, Sydney Underground Film Festival is back for its 20th anniversary.

Running from Thursday to Sunday at Factory Theatre, SUFF is celebrating two decades of fearless filmmaking with a program of world and Australian premieres, cult favourites and emerging voices. Expect the kind of films you probably won’t find playing at your usual Friday night cinema session.

Grab your film-loving friends, pick a screening and prepare to discover your next niche obsession. 🎥

The Australian indie-folk favourites are kicking off this year’s Night at the Barracks series, with Charlie Collins supporting. Set inside the historic North Head Sanctuary, the outdoor concert gives you a pretty spectacular backdrop to go with the live music.

If you needed an excuse for a Friday night trip across the Harbour, this is it. 🌊🎶

🪁 Festival of the Winds

Bondi is about to get a serious upgrade. 🪁

Head to the beach on Sunday for Festival of the Winds, where hundreds of colourful kites will fill the sky alongside live entertainment, cultural performances, kids’ activities, food stalls and arts and crafts.

It’s one of Sydney’s most colourful spring traditions and, best of all, it’s completely free. Bring your friends, grab some food and find a spot on the grass before looking up and realising Bondi has basically turned into a giant outdoor art installation.

Just a heads up: more than 40,000 people are expected, so public transport is definitely your friend. 🚆
