If you've ever walked down Ultimo Road and caught the smell of freshly baked brownies drifting through the air, chances are you've just passed Cozy Corner Café.

Tucked just steps away from the UTS Business School, this local spot has become a convenient favourite for students, professionals and anyone in need of a quality coffee or affordable bite to eat.

And if you've spotted someone carrying a matcha in a sleek can that's almost too aesthetic to drink? There's a good chance it came from Cozy Corner too.

How It All Started

Before Cozy Corner Café became a familiar stop for students and professionals, it began with a shared dream between Suli and Hendri. Having spent years working in the hospitality industry, the couple understood that a great café is about more than just coffee and food- it's about sharing a space that people genuinely want to return, making the business customer-centred. They wanted to offer a space where people can go for a convenient meal without breaking their budget, while also offering a space where friends can catch up or take a break.

More Than Just Convenience

While its location makes it a convenient stop, what keeps customers coming back is their personal touch of hospitality and reliable menu favourites. Regular customers are greeted with familiar smiles, and newcomers quickly feel like part of the community.

Their focus on giving back to the community was highlighted by Hendri when I asked about their loyalty card,

"you got to give them back something cause they're always coming back here for you. It's our way to reward all the customers"

And what's even better, is that they keep your loyalty card safe for you so you don't have to carry it around with you and you'll forget to bring it or lose it!

That same mindset extends to every aspect of the business. Understanding that many of their customers are students, Suli and Hendri keeps their prices affordable while ensuring service remains quick and convenient.

Whether it's the rich, gooey brownie that's become a local favourite, the cheesecake muffin crowned with fresh strawberries, or the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the café, Cozy Corner knows how to turn everyday treats into something worth looking forward to.
